Ways to protect your countertop - comparison

The tablecloth and oilcloth cover the countertop, so they don't work well if you want to maintain its appearance.

Tempered glass is heavy, brittle and difficult to cut to size - mat gives a similar effect without these disadvantages.

How to choose a mat for the type of countertop

Thickness and finish depend on the material and finish of the table.

Wooden countertop

1.5 mm gloss works on most finishes - in the case of oil or wax, it is worth asking by phone.

Glass or glossy top

The matte finish prevents the "spill water effect" visible on glossy surfaces.

Kitchen worktop

2.0 mm gloss is more resistant to frequent moving and cleaning.

Extendable or oval table

It requires individual measurement - we show it in the measurement instructions.

What does the mat protect against?
