What is soft glass

Common name for a transparent PVC protective mat.

"Soft glass" is the common name for a transparent PVC protective mat - it is not glass, but a material that creates a similar, transparent effect on the countertop.

The mat lies freely on the surface, without sticking. You can take it off, wash it and put it back at any time.

Protects the countertop against spills and scratches. The glossy version allows you to see the color and surface pattern; the matte version has a milky finish. Use a heat-resistant mat under hot dishes.

How does it differ from a tablecloth and oilcloth

Three different approaches to countertop protection.

Each mat is cut to a specific size - we describe the process here.

Does it move?

With the appropriate size and weight of the material, the mat sits stably on the countertop.
