Why the wheel is harder

With a rectangle you measure two numbers, with a circle only one - but it's easier to get confused.

In the case of a rectangle, you only need to measure the width and length - in the case of a circle, only the diameter counts, but a measurement error of a few centimeters is easier to make because the edge of the table top curves along its entire length.

Additionally, some round tables have a slightly oval, not perfectly round, top - it is worth checking this before measuring.

What exactly is being measured

The two most common errors when measuring a wheel.

Measure through the center of the countertop

The diameter is the longest possible line through the center - don't measure diagonally by accident.

Measure twice, in two places

If the tabletop is slightly oval, two measurements will reveal it immediately. You can still choose between 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm after measuring.

Accurate measurement is more important here than in the case of a rectangle - the mat is made to one specific size.

Extendable table. Measure the tabletop in both settings - folded and unfolded - and specify both diameters when ordering.

Oval top, not perfectly round. Instead of a circle, choose an oval in the calculator - the measurement looks slightly different.

How to measure the diameter of a countertop?
Measure the longest line through the center of the countertop, preferably in two different places to be sure.
What if my table is oval, not round?
Select an oval shape in the calculator - measurement and cutting will then look different.
Is it possible to cut a mat for an extendable table?
Yes, we need measurements in both table settings.
What thickness for a round table?
1.5 mm works well on most countertops, 2.0 mm holds its shape better on large diameters.
What if the diameter is larger than in the calculator?
Call us - we will check if we can cut a larger size.
Can I return the mat if I measured incorrectly?
A mat made correctly according to the parameters you provided is not covered by the statutory right of withdrawal - the rules for returning it are described in the returns policy. Therefore, accurate measurement is crucial.
